Detailed Description

The Cottage is a cozy 590 square feet and sleeps a maximum of six guests in two rooms - a master with king-sized bed and a bunk room. The rate per night is $250 for one or two guests. An additional four guests can be accommodated in the two sets of bunk beds for $30 per guest per night. Each bedroom features a lavatory sink with mirrored cabinet, two benches for your gear, linen and towels. A shower and Biolet composting toilet room is accessed through the bunk room. A lace curtained outhouse, less than a minute walk from the cottage, fulfills the full Alaskan experience and is shared with the main house.

Antique furniture fills the front rooms including couch, coffee table, two chairs, dining table with six chairs and china cabinet. The kitchen, fully stocked with china, glassware and cookware, features full sized appliances including a refrigerator/freezer, four burner range and oven, microwave, toaster, K-Cup coffee maker and a propane grill on the deck. The cottage has a dedicated high-speed wireless internet connection.

The private, south facing deck perches above a pond with a sunset view of the Halibut Cove Narrows.  Guests have exclusive access to the hot tub and a glorious outdoor, alder curtained shower.  We provide Croc outdoor shower shoes and spa robes for your use on the deck.

Your stay in the Forget-Me-Not Cottage includes the use of two, three-man, Walker Bay row boats for touring the Inside Narrows and visiting The Saltry Restaurant, The Experience Gallery, Diana Tillion's Cove Gallery, the Halibut Cove Coffee House, and the floating U.S. Post Office.  Kayak and paddleboard rental reservations can be made in advance with our neighbors at Stillpoint Lodge.

The Cottage is perched above the Narrows with a fantastic view to reward the 3 to 5 minute walk up the stairs from the dock below.  Your gear and supplies will be transported nearly to the top on a tram. Rental rates do not include taxes, transportation or meals.  Halibut Cove does not have a grocery store, so you will need to plan and bring food for meals and/or make lunch and dinner reservations at The Saltry Restaurant. We provide a variety of K-Cups for the coffee maker and a 5 gallon bottle of Ohlson Mountain Mineral Springs H2O from Homer, Alaska.
